The Dell Inspiron 15
7000 comes with a starting price of $1,000 and weighs as light as 1.58kgs.
While it doesn’t look or feel as sleek as the Dell XPS 15, the new Dell
Inspiron 15 offers similar hardware and performance. It runs Windows 10 or
Ubuntu, has a metal body, a 15.6-inch screen (Full HD LED Anti-Glare Non-Touch
or 4K LED 500 Nits), up to 9th Gen. Intel Core H octa-core CPUs (i5-9300H,
i7-9750H, or i9-9880H), Nvidia discrete graphics (GTX 1050 3GB or GTX 1650
4GB). The Dell Inspiron 15 7590 has 256GB or 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD storage,
while the Dell Inspiron 15 7591 has four storage options: 128GB PCIe NVMe M2.
SSD + 1TB 5400RPM 2.5-inch SATA, 256GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD + 1TB 5400RPM
2.5-inch SATA, 256GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, or 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD.
In terms of I/O, Inspiron 15 has an HDMI port, three USB 3.2 Type-A ports,
Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack, and microSD
card slot. There’s a fingerprint reader as well.
Dell’s AIO lineup
includes Inspiron 24 and Inspiron 27, and they’re calling the refreshed
versions Inspiron 24 5000 and Inspiron 27 7000. The Inspiron 24 5000 has a
24-inch IPS LCD screen with 1080p resolution, while the Inspiron 5000 has a
27-inch IPS LCD screen with 1080p resolution. Both PCs have pop-up webcams and
front-firing speaker bars. There’s also an optional touchscreen that’s on the
offer.
The Dell XPS 13
2-In-1 has a taller 13.4-inch (1080p+ or 4K+ with Dolby Vision HDR and 500 nits
brightness) screen aspect ratio at 16:10 and the webcam has been placed at
the top. The hinges are less prominent, edge-to-edge MagLev design keyboard with
bigger keys, and a 19 percent larger trackpad. This new laptop uses Intel’s
10th Gen. Core i3, i5, or i7 CPUs with Intel’s Iris Plus graphics. There’s a
new dual-fan cooling system with an ultra-thin vapor chamber. It will be
available with a starting price of $1,000 in the US.
